Who we are

The surrogacy arm of Ingenes

Surrogate Mexico is the surrogacy arm of the Ingenes Institute: the same medical team, the same certified labs, and the same science of the institute, devoted to your path to parenthood. The entire process lives inside Ingenes, with no outside agencies or middlemen.

This means that behind your program stands the backing of the largest fertility and genetics institute in Latin America: over 20 years of experience, high-complexity labs, and more than 75,000 babies born.

Pillar 1

Medical solution and BlueDonors

We create your embryos through the path that best fits your case, always on medical advice.

European egg bank in partnership with Ingenes, with a broad donor catalog.
  • With your own eggs

For heterosexual couples and single women. We monitor ovarian stimulation and perform the egg retrieval and IVF in our lab, with the partner's sperm or, if needed, donor sperm.

  • With BlueDonors egg donation

Ingenes partners with BlueDonors, a European egg bank with a broad donor catalog. It is the path for male couples, single men, and anyone who cannot use their own eggs.

  • How you choose your donor

You select 3 profiles from the catalog. Depending on how soon you want to start, you can choose donors with eggs available right away or donors awaiting retrieval. Programs include egg sets from these donors and, when the doctor recommends it, there are programs with two sets.

  • Egg set guarantee

If PGT-A was not performed and no embryo reached the blastocyst stage, we provide another egg set so you can keep pursuing pregnancy.

  • Embryo shipping

If your embryos already exist at another clinic, we handle the logistics and import permits. The transport cost is not included.

Pillar 2

Surrogate matching and care

On average, we match you with your surrogate within two months, with every requirement verified, so your baby or babies grow with a woman who is ready to carry the pregnancy.

Surrogate supported by the intended parents of the Surrogate Mexico program
  • Vetted and medically approved

Our surrogates have already shown they can carry a pregnancy and are approved by our medical team.

  • Complete evaluation

Before matching, we review criminal background, a socioeconomic study with a home visit, a psychological evaluation, and lab tests.

  • Ethical, humane treatment

The surrogate signs her own contracts and is engaged per program, with major medical and life insurance.

  • Never alone

A consultant accompanies her to every appointment and test, she has psychological support, and a doctor oversees all her care.

  • Flexibility for medical reasons

We review the case throughout the process. If a medical reason requires changing surrogates, we can do it.

Pillar 3

Escrow, the financial solution

What your program sets aside for the surrogate, the hospital, insurance, and the legal process is deposited in a bank trust (escrow), managed by a regulated institution.

  • Protected funds

The money stays at the bank, outside any agency's control, and is available when each stage needs it.

  • Every payment, validated

No funds leave the escrow without authorization, and each payment is validated before it is released.

  • What the escrow pays for

    • Lawyers and the legal process: the gestational contracts.
    • Surrogate insurance: major medical and life.
    • Surrogate support payments, including her bonuses.
    • Hospital for the delivery or C-section, at partner hospitals.
    • Medical emergencies.
Pillar 5

Communication and coordination

You always know what comes next and who to talk to.

  • An assigned doctor

Every program has an assigned doctor. They support you on everything medical and stay in constant contact to keep you updated on your surrogate.

  • A Journey Coordinator

Supports you through signatures, payments, appointments, and questions, so communication never gets lost.

  • Psychological support

Emotional support is there for the intended parents and for the surrogate, because everyone's well-being matters throughout the journey.

Who it is for

A program for every kind of family

The five pillars are the same for everyone. What changes is how your embryos are created. Choose your case:

Who it is for · Male couples

Two dads, one clear path

For a male couple, surrogacy is the direct route to biological fatherhood. One of you provides the sperm, a donor provides the eggs, and a surrogate carries the pregnancy. You decide who contributes the genetic material, and some couples choose to fertilize eggs with a sample from each partner.

Mexico backs this right. Since 2021 the Supreme Court of Justice has recognized surrogacy for every type of family, with no distinction by sexual orientation or marital status. The court order we file at week 12 means the birth certificate is issued with both of your names.

  • With your sperm and egg donation: embryos are created with sperm from one or both of you and eggs from a BlueDonors donor, the egg bank Ingenes partners with.
  • You choose your donor: you select 3 profiles from the catalog based on your preferences and your timeline.
  • With embryos you already have: if your embryos are at another clinic, we coordinate their arrival through our Shipping program.

When carrying a pregnancy is not viable

Many couples reach surrogacy after years of treatment. The cause is usually uterine: hysterectomy, Asherman's syndrome, uterine malformations, severe adenomyosis, or repeated implantation failure with healthy embryos. We also indicate the program when pregnancy poses a real risk to her health: heart disease, kidney disease, some cancers, or a history of severe preeclampsia.

In these cases the genetic material usually comes from both of you. Her eggs and his sperm form the embryo through IVF, and the surrogate carries the pregnancy. The baby is yours in every sense, including legally.

  • With her own eggs: we monitor her ovarian stimulation, and embryos are created with her eggs and her partner's sperm or, if needed, donor sperm.
  • With egg donation: if her eggs are not an option, you choose a BlueDonors donor together, the egg bank Ingenes partners with.
  • With embryos you already have: if your embryos are at another clinic, we coordinate their arrival through our Shipping program.

Becoming a mother without carrying

If you decided to become a mother on your own and a medical condition prevents you from carrying, surrogacy solves exactly that part. The most common reasons are hysterectomy due to fibroids or cancer, congenital absence of the uterus (Rokitansky syndrome), uterine damage from cancer treatment, or a clear medical contraindication to pregnancy.

The birth certificate is issued with your name as the mother, without the surrogate's name appearing on it.

  • With your own eggs: we monitor your ovarian stimulation, and embryos are created with your eggs and donor sperm.
  • With egg donation: if your ovarian reserve no longer allows you to use your own eggs, you choose a BlueDonors donor, the egg bank Ingenes partners with.
  • With embryos you already have: if your embryos are at another clinic, we coordinate their arrival through our Shipping program.

Who it is for · Single men

A single dad by choice

More and more men are deciding to become fathers without waiting to find a partner. Surrogacy makes it possible with your own genetic material: you provide the sperm sample, a donor provides the eggs, and a surrogate carries the pregnancy.

Mexico recognizes this path for single people. The legal process is the same as for a couple, with the court order filed at week 12 and the birth certificate issued directly in your name.

  • With your sperm and egg donation: embryos are created with your sperm and eggs from a BlueDonors donor, the egg bank Ingenes partners with.
  • You choose your donor: you select 3 profiles from the catalog based on your preferences and your timeline.

Why Mexico

The destination that best enables your surrogacy

Mexico combines legal certainty for every type of family, high-complexity medical care, proximity, and more accessible costs, with a bilingual team by your side from the first contact.

  • Legal

    Backed by the Supreme Court

Since 2021, Mexico's Supreme Court of Justice has recognized surrogacy for heterosexual couples, same-sex couples, and single people.

  • Parentage

    Your name on the certificate

Parentage is assigned to the intended parents: the birth certificate shows your details, not the surrogate's.

  • Accessible

More accessible than in North America

In the United States a full process costs USD 150,000 to more than 200,000 (Fertile, 2026). In Canada only altruistic surrogacy is allowed, surrogates are scarce, and a starting budget of 80,000 Canadian dollars is recommended (Sprout Family).

  • Medical

    Hospitals and specialists

Access to top-tier hospitals and the science of Ingenes, with the leading IVF success rate in Latin America.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about surrogacy in Mexico

Is surrogacy legal in Mexico?

Yes. Mexico has Supreme Court jurisprudence that allows surrogacy for every type of family. A law firm specialized in surrogacy handles each case from start to finish.

Who can do surrogacy with Ingenes?

Heterosexual couples, male couples, single men, and single women, from Mexico and abroad. The medical path depends on your case: with your own eggs, with BlueDonors egg donation, or with embryos you already have at another clinic.

How long does surrogate matching take?

Two months on average. Every surrogate reaches matching with her medical, psychological, socioeconomic, and background evaluation complete, and has already shown she can carry a pregnancy.

What is the escrow and how does it protect my money?

It is a bank trust. Payments for the surrogate, the hospital, insurance, and the legal process are deposited there. No funds leave without authorization, and each payment is validated before it is released.

Who appears on the baby's birth certificate?

The intended parents. The lawyers carry the parentage process through to the ruling, and the baby's birth certificate and CURP are issued in your name, without the surrogate's name appearing.

Can I use embryos I already have at another clinic?

Yes, with the Star Surrogacy Shipping program. We handle the logistics and import permits; the transport cost is not included.

What happens if a transfer does not work?

Programs include up to 3 transfers. If PGT-A was not performed and no embryo reached the blastocyst stage, we provide another egg set, and if a medical reason requires changing surrogates, we can do it. You can also add stimulations or egg sets based on your doctor's advice.

How does the cost compare with other countries?

In the United States a full process costs USD 150,000 to more than 200,000, and Canada only allows altruistic surrogacy, with a shortage of surrogates. Programs in Mexico are more accessible. Your specialist walks you through the complete program and its cost before you make any decision.

What about registering the baby in my country?

We support you through the consular paperwork and your baby's passport. The guidance is personalized to your nationality so registration in your home country goes smoothly.
